English: Staying Alive is an international campaign which provides information on HIV/AIDS prevention and protection, promotes safer lifestyle choices and encourages people to fight the stigma and discrimination which still surrounds the disease.
It is a partnership between MTV, YouthNet spearheaded by Family Health International, the Kaiser Family Foundation, USAID, UNAIDS, UNFPA, The World Bank, DFID, SIDA and other organizations.
Staying Alive began in 1998 with an award-winning documentary about six young people from around the world and how their lives had been affected by HIV/AIDS. Since then, Staying Alive has expanded to become a global campaign promoting awareness, involvement and tolerance.
The campaign produces a wide range of programmes and public service announcements, documentaries and major concerts, all provided free to broadcasters around the world.
Remember: AIDS can affect anyone. RICH or POOR, BLACK or WHITE, STRAIGHT or GAY, YOUNG or OLD.
There's a lot that you can do to protect yourself, help others and be a part of that fight. Proctecting yourself you're protecting the others as well.

Resulta de uma parceria entre a MTV, YouthNet por Family Health International, a Fundacao Familia Kaiser, USAID, UNAIDS, UNFPA, o Banco Mundial, DFID, SIDA e outras organizacoes.
Staying Alive comecou em 1998 com a atribuicao de um premio a um documentario sobre seis jovens do mundo inteiro e de como as suas vidas ficaram afectadas pelo HIV/SIDA. Desde entao, Staying Alive expandiu-se, tornando-se uma campanha global promovendo a consciencia, participacao e tolerancia.
A campanha produz programas e anuncios de servico publico em grande escala, documentarios e grandes concertos, todos transmitidos por televisoes e radios do mundo inteiro.
Lembra-te: a SIDA pode afectar qualquer um. RICO ou POBRE, BRANCO ou PRETO, HETEROSSEXUAL ou HOMOSSEXUAL, JOVEM ou VELHO.
