Hey guys,
We've been getting more submissions than usual from artists that are stealing your skins. Most of the stolen skins are the ones on your profile that you guys are working on.
Two things you can do to protect your work-in-progress: - Post in the Lounge and let us know what you are working on, so we can recognize it if it is submitted by someone else - Place your name all over your skin images while it is getting worked on, and then remove the extra names for the final submitted version
We apologize in advance if one of these stolen skins gets approved accidentally. We definitely appreciate all of your hard work and want to make sure you get the credit for it!
Thanks, Liz

You're right Liz, we don't always know who's going to visit our profile and what are their intentions. That's why I usually put a sign in my uncompleted skins when I use them in my profile (something like: "skin being designed by (my name)")
This post is extremely important, I hope many designers read it. :)

Thief's... That is bad... We better mark the skins or an image of it in the group till it gets accepted to be recognized by the staff... It has been slow to upload the images... maybe one of the symptoms...
Untill then, i am workin on a skin with sea a fish... :P it is this one And i have two more submitted...

Serpa - that's a good option too :) Sometimes you need to use it though, if you need help or you're looking for feedback.

Some of my skins were already stolen and are being used as layouts for another websites... We can't do nothing, but at least their designing skills suck because the links to our profiles remain there, they don't erase it...

That kind of websites are just annoying, they simply steal and no one stop's them...
At least hi5 is a honest website that respects author's copyrights and for that reason I continue to design skins, making a small contribution so it can continue to grow and gain more users, that will hopefully enjoy being here.
But I think it should be given serious penalties for those who are stealing designers skins, they can't get away with it...

Ahmm.,. i personally do not like to put my name on my designs. That's why everytime i made a skin i post a message in here, so you know the skin is mine.
There hasn't been a case like this with one of my images. I don't think there will ever be one. I'm just 2 original,., PSSSSSSS. XDDDDDDDDDD, Just kidding.
